Once upon a time…
In the 1990s, EDI tools were just not cutting it. Our founders, Neil and Greg had lots of experience in the retail distribution world. Their dissatisfaction with existing EDI tools nurtured a crystal clear mission in their minds. Develop something quite different. Provide an EDI service that any customer would find nothing short of outstanding.
That’s how EDI Options was born. It was 1992 and working out of an extra bedroom in Oceanside, NY the partners founded a boutique-style EDI service. They fostered the service by developing intuitive software that made the EDI process easy and non-technical.
It seems people like simple solutions because word spread quickly. Our little company grew fast.
The digital scene in 1992 was the “wild west.”
We were a year away from the first web browser and fax-modems were the tool of the day. So all our work was done locally.

We’ve grown into an international operation with a worldwide customer base. The EDI OptCenter hosts our supremely clever EDI management tool. And the addition of Ecommopt allows us to extend our unique tools beyond EDI to manage all ecommerce marketplaces. Modern communications and connectivity allow us to provide that same boutique service that made us special when we launched decades ago.
EDI Options continues to grow but we maintain a small company culture. Ours is a philosophy that remembers the mission: EDI service that every customer finds nothing short of outstanding.
